In terms of processes we ensure that machinery is only running when necessary for production processes.

Minimising environmental impact of our business activities

We take great care to ensure that we follow best practice for our business processes so that reduction of environmental impact is a consideration in everything we do. As with all environmental measures little things add up to a lot.

Consequently, we schedule our deliveries to ensure complete loads and optimum logistics are attained wherever possible.

Grouping deliveries for geographical proximity lowers our costs and helps protect the environment. Standard operating procedures for our HGV drivers include not allowing engines to idle while making deliveries. Likewise we encourage drivers from our suppliers not to leave engines running when making drops to us.

Across our manufacturing facility we have defined bins for recyclable waste and staff are encouraged to ensure that all materials that can be recycled are correctly deposited.

Our office staff recycle paper waste, which is always shredded first if it contains customer details. Other office waste such as plastic cups is also sorted separately for recycling.
